About Me.
Like many artists, I've been making art for as long as I can remember. My childhood and teen years were full of traditional art (pastels, acrylics, pencil), but my passion for digital art was ignited in college when began creating event posters and print advertisements for my university theatre department.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts (with a dual emphasis in Acting and Technical Design) I began creating digital artworks and selling my original sticker designs at markets. Since then, I've broken into the world of freelance design commissions for various local small businesses. This experience won me my first professional design position as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Out in West Texas, a nonprofit advocacy group for transgender people living in the Permian Basin.
I, myself, am transgender and my passion for queer justice shines through my original works. I prioritize working with organizations that are openly celebratory of queer and BIPOC experiences.

In essence, the term "liminal" reflects our firm belief that design should exist in the space between boundaries – a place of transition and possibility, where innovative ideas and aesthetics thrive.
Defining Liminal
Derived from the Latin word "limen," meaning threshold, "liminal" refers to the transitional space between two distinct states. It encapsulates the notion of being neither in one state nor the other, but rather existing in the limbo between, where infinite potential reveals itself.
Queerness & Liminality
Liminality is intrinsically linked to queerness. Queerness challenges and transcends societal norms, breaking free from the constraints of binary thinking. At Liminal Designs, we recognize and celebrate this connection, embracing queerness as a source of inspiration that empowers us to reimagine design boundaries.
